What is a stock?
A stock is a small slice of ownership in a company. When the company grows, the value of your slice can grow too.
NSE and BSE
These are the two main stock exchanges in India, where shares are bought and sold. The Nifty 50 belongs to NSE and the Sensex to BSE.
Demat and trading account
A demat account holds your shares electronically. A trading account is what you use to place buy and sell orders.
How buying and selling works
You place an order through your broker. When a buyer and a seller agree on a price on the exchange, the trade happens.
Market timings
The regular session runs from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM IST on weekdays.
Intraday vs delivery
Intraday means you buy and sell on the same day. Delivery means you keep the shares beyond the day.

FAQs
How is this different from Chartink or Screener.in?
Chartink is a flexible scan builder where you write or pick your own queries. BreakoutNavigator gives you ready-made breakout ideas: it detects breakouts in real-time, every 60 seconds, with volume confirmation, FII flow data, and a 5-pillar confidence score. You get alerted WHILE the move is forming — not after it's already up 3%.
Will this give me false signals?
No screener is 100% accurate — anyone who claims otherwise is lying. Our 5-pillar scoring system (price structure, volume quality, timeframe alignment, options OI, market context) filters out weak setups automatically. Only signals scoring above 65 are shown.
How many stocks does it actually scan?
All 3,363 NSE-listed stocks, filtered to ~500 active candidates using liquidity and volume activity filters. Rescanned every 60 seconds during market hours.
Can I auto-trade the signals?
Not yet. Broker integration (Kotak Neo, Upstox) is in development. Currently, signals include entry, SL, T1, T2 pre-calculated — one click takes you to the Trade tab to place manually.
Is my data safe? Do you store my trades?
We store only your account info and signal preferences. We do not store trade execution data or broker credentials. Your data is never sold or shared.
How does the repeating alert option work?
When you set a watchlist price alert, you can choose 'One-time' or 'Repeating'. One-time alerts fire once and auto-dismiss. Repeating alerts stay active and notify you every time the price crosses your target — useful for tracking support/resistance levels you want to trade multiple times.
What alert channels are available?
Free users get basic in-app watchlist alerts. Pro users unlock push notifications for price alerts. Elite users get both push + WhatsApp alerts, including repeating alerts on any watchlist stock.
How many stocks can I add to my watchlist?
Free plan: up to 10 stocks. Pro and Elite: unlimited watchlists with auto-computed RSI, Vol Ratio, and Signal Score updated every 15 minutes.
How does Refer & Earn work?
Share your unique referral code. When a friend signs up and subscribes to Pro or Elite, you earn 20% cash commission on every payment they make. Your friend gets 10% off their first paid subscription.
Who is eligible to earn referral commissions?
You must be an active paid subscriber (Pro or Elite) at the time your referred friend completes their subscription payment. Free users get bonus unlocks (+1 per referral) but do not earn cash commissions.
When are referral commissions paid out?
Commissions are calculated after a successful subscription payment is confirmed. Payouts are processed on the 1st and 15th of every month via UPI or bank transfer once your balance crosses ₹500.
Is there a cap on how much I can earn?
There is no lifetime cap on referral earnings. Referral bonus unlocks are capped at 2 per day for the referrer. Free users can unlock up to 3 cards lifetime (plus any bonus unlocks).
Can I refer myself or create fake accounts?
No. Self-referrals are blocked automatically. If we detect fake accounts, bot signups, or abuse, all referral benefits will be revoked and the account may be suspended.
What happens if my friend cancels or refunds?
If a referred friend requests a refund or chargeback within 30 days, the associated commission is reversed. Commissions are only finalized after the 30-day refund window closes.
